Will the Liberty City Port have all featuers?!

January 6, 2006 By R. LeFeuvre

So I get word that Rockstar is porting GTA:LCS to the PS2. Well damn, there goes argument #1 for having a PSP. I never thought "It can play UMD Movies" would make it up to slot 39 on the list, but after this event, the lack of a tilt mechanism for Mercury and news that KD PSP might not be so rad... it's cracked the top 40!

Anyway....

GTA:LCS is great game, I'm sure it will be very successful on the PS2. But I wonder about something.

Is Rockstar going to port over the multiplayer parts!?

The mode is more than just a add-on feature like the coop in San Andreas - they have a bunch of modes available, all there to suit the needs of small or large groups. The multiplayer features, while underused (or just unused) by most PSP users, really are compelling.

If they put a multiplayer GTA game on the PS2 ... well... CA-CHING!

So yeah, it will be there.

Thats the one thing I wish would happen with GTA.

Make the co-op splitscreen (Staying in the same area sucked, but its still fun)...and system link...maybe sony online/xbl.

But what I dont like is "deathmatch" kinda stuff in GTA. Would not fit...and whores would just get on roofs and snipe.

?

GTA: Liberty City Stories [i]has[/url] a multiplayer mode. I don't want split screen co-op, I want to play in games with my network adapter! Especially since every single slimline has one built in.

And there are a quite a bit more game types than just deathmatch. Get Stretch is a sort of capture the flag style game, except that the flag is drivable, can splatter your foes and can be blown up! Wedding List (one of my favorites) has each person racing to fullfill a wish list of cars. There's a game where people swap out causing mischief with the Tank whilst the other players try to stop his fun so that they may drive the Tank. Another mode sets up racing checkpoints, much like the races in the side quest.

LCS Mutliplayer is fabulous and when included with the PS2 version it will make that game sell. Hell... I'll buy it twice. Just for the online game.

Oh wow.

I didnt expect it to be that good.
If they expand from that, they will have an instant hit.
