You may or may not be familiar with NaNoWriMo, or Nation Novel Writers Month, where authors (and well anyone) attempt to finish at 50,000 word novel in a month. Well, novel writing isn't really my thing, but I do dig game design and programming, so when I came across a self-proclaimed National Video Game Writer's Month it seemed too perfect to pass up.
I'll be on a similar restriction as those Novel Writers: on December 1st I'll start programming and the game will be released on January 1st.
I've already got the perfect project -- Genki Genki Supaa Panic Button. I've been itching for a while to start on it, I'm able to create the art myself, and I have the design mapped out. When the 'official' design doc is written up, I'll share it.
I'll be using this journal as a sort of development blog; you'll be able to follow my antics as I bumble through the production of the game. And since genesis of the my game document is spawned from the very words of a New Gamer article (care of Ruti) it's rather fitting for the development to be tracked on here as well.
So please, follow the adventures of the first National Video Game Writer's Month, both here and at my cohort's dev blog.

Awesome. If I could figure out how to add links to other blogs from mine, I'd link mine to yours. Since I can't, I'll at least give you a mention in my next post.
Maybe by next year we'll go global with this baby.
