Does actual gameplay footage have a place in video game television ads? I certainly hope so.
My penchant for becoming distracted and dropping a game for several months at a time has lead me to forget more plot lines than I remember. While I could be a more studious gamer, why not hope for a different solution?
Television has, believe it or not, been covering more in gaming than just the Xbox 360 this past month.
Today we have a guest commentary article provided by Chris Short, examining the pro's and con's of consoles vs. PCs. Yes, it's a war torn area but I have a few things to say about this issue myself which will be examined in the next few weeks. So, it's a convenient lead-in! Enjoy!
This week Namons offers up a response to Chris Short's Consoles vs. PCs article and is now considered head mediator for any future debates I may participate in the future.
Ever have a Disc Read Error? Well, Arstechnica may be able to help. However, that still doesn't keep me from ranting about it, and the current state of hardware stability in consoles.
Feeling like you're wasting your time playing some games, but persist in playing them nonetheless? Funny, that's exactly the way I felt while playing Kya: Dark Lineage. This time, I'm finally going to do something about it.
This week I get a little excited over how games exclusive to one console make a difference in this little gaming world.
The following is an especially caustic bit of commentary that I dare label a rant focused squarely on the practice of games and release dates. As in, stores apparently never have them in on said release dates. And no, I'm not talking about delayed games.
It's ranting time, and this week I spit a bit of venom towards developers that don't think before adding domain names and websites into their video games, especially when they add websites from ... THE FUTURE! to our DNS tables.
Hey kids, it's peccaui bringing a quick little update! Multitap will be published later this week as we're putting together something a bit different than normal. But if you like to read about Ico, move your greedy fingers over that mouse button and click below.
Nico - the biggest mystery in gaming today?
After a bit of rest, I feel ...not nearly as invigorated as one would hope. Maybe it's been the recent lack of time to spend playing games that has lead me to want to merge games with something constructive. No, not a peripheral that will allow me to play Viewtiful Joe and clean my house. Something a bit more ..mundane.
I got the news shortly after I woke up this morning, via Kotaku on MTV: Morpheus is Dead. Morpheus was put to sleep. Morpheus took the death pill. Yes, gaming oriented websites were informing me every hour via my newsreader...
Now that we have moved into an age where it's possible to have games with custom soundtracks ripped straight from your Winamp playlists, should we really take advantage of it?
Ever take so long to finish a game that you forget what happened at the beginning? Or perhaps blew through a rental game over a weekend only to feel frustrated and bitter? This rant is for you.
A lack of games arriving in my mailbox in time has lead me to wonder why I wanted them immediately in the first place.
No one becomes king alone - so why won't EA Games let us help each other out? Plus autoscrolling to the death, war is hell, "and then it became explodier!"
I'll have you know I wrote this after finishing Half-Life 2 and before I completed Metal Gear Solid 3.
T.H.U.G., or as some call it - Tony Hawk Underground, has been frustrating me for the last few days. Take a look at just one of the reasons!
We have always thought of the humble 'start' button as our friend, allowing us to answer the door, bitch at a telemarketer or even pay attention to a loved one like your Dreamcast! So what's all this about not stopping the clock after I've hit 'start'?
I missed a very important day last week and got reamed out for it. Please Dreamcast - forgive me!
Apparently in today's gaming world, it's not enough to be a murderer, a surgeon, or a disaster victim. You also have to uncover sinister political plots, evil corporations, and rescue the world at the same time. Why can't we just have a simple personal journey?
Today I add to the growing muck of articles on the handful of non-details known as the Nintendo DS. Yes, we have hit another new low.
Multitap
Our roundtable discussions about current gaming affairs and quandries.
This week we kick off Multitap, where unitdaisy and I take a look at current gaming topics. This week: we look at what games went wild during E3 and taunt each other. Thanks to modern technology, it feels like we were in the thick of the action, brushing elbows with some of the world's greasiest and most bitter game "journalists."
Multitap returns, but this week we have a guest commentator - an enigmatic person known only as 'The Tick', presumably known for either his fancy for parasites, or an affection for Ben Edlund creations. Either way, this week we turn our eyes and mouths to recent Nintendo rumors and news.
Multitap returns with special guest 'The Tick'! This week we see WebTV fighting for recognition, extend lamentations to Sega and join the rest of the world in hating the N-Gage. Sue me, I was hurtin' for real notable news.
Multitap, rise from your grave! Today we wrap up our tardy E3 coverage by mixing and mincing words about what Ronn experienced and I merely viewed through an Internet browser. And boy are there a lot of words.
This week we lament Sega turning off non-PSO Dreamcast servers, talk about cake and plunder the depths of the Hollywood mind.
This week we take a look at Bring Lara Croft to Work Day, Activision vs. Viacom in a war to decide who has botched up the Star Trek universe the most and speculate on the next GameBoy.
There have been better weeks, and there have been worst weeks. This week we lazily bitch about Sega's latest marketing attempt, current sales in Japan and more. Hey, cut us some slack - it's fucking hot out.
Want to play the upcoming Mario Cart game online? Like mocking game companies? Or are you just hankering for some finely crafted cake? If your answer is 'Yes' to any of the above, come on in!
Multitap is back with Attercob filling the imposing shoes that Unitdaisy usually wallows in. This week: RotK online, crime simulators & prisoners and MTV's plans for gamers.
After a very long nap, Multitap wakes up, rubs the sleep out of its eyes and finds itself watching the 'Xbox 360 Revealed' MTV special, featuring some guy wearing a Gogol Bordello shirt. Good for him.
