A Return from Exodus

March 20, 2006 By R. LeFeuvre

I'm not sure if people have noticed but I've been ignoring my beloved TNG Journal. Hell, I've been pretty scant around the site in general.

Well, there's a pretty damn good reason: I just moved to LA for a new job!

The company: High Impact Games
The job: Gameplay Programmer
The game: I CAN'T TELL YOU THAT!

It's great so far -- it's a pretty small place and everyone at the company is really nice and helpful. It makes for a great work environment. In fact, it's pretty much the opposite of all the bad things that you hear about the industry.

My job requirements are pretty wicked slick as well. I'm a programmer, what with the coding and such, but I also get some control over design as well. It's a fucking radical job and it's the perfect fit.

I'm not sure what the company is planning for E3, but with any luck I'll be there! And if so, this year as a real part of the industry.

Hey! Now if I get shipped out to CA we can drink beer and talk videogames!

Mostly beer.

Who needs those 'Friscans anyway?

I won't be there, sadly. School and I don't want to spend all the money.

BUT I want you to send me the booth crap via mail.

What, I don't feel like spending $500 for just the ticket, not to mention a few hundred for airfare.
