GDC Day 5: I was so exhausted I feel asleep on in the living room

...and then crawled into bed before making a journal entry.

So yesterday I saw Will Wrights look into the future and it was pretty cool. Honestly, I only saw the second half, but I saw enough crazy cool stuff anyway. Wright and Molyneux's look at the future seems to be "break as many design rules as you can". That's cool with me!

Then I sat in on a Console RTS lecture. The highlight of that was seeing Tim Schafer. He almost recognized me! That makes me almost cool. Woo!

I can't believe I missed the game designer rant. There's nothing more I like to do at school than rant about what sucks about game design and I missed out the one session where real game designers do just that! Oh well - at least I can read about it

The last thing I sat in was a panel discussion about improvisational AI. Qutie and interesting talk and, while the project was lead by people from the industry, the producer and all the artists and programmers were students. Very radical.
