GDC 2005: Day 2

March 9, 2005 By R. LeFeuvre

Interesting facts learned at the GDC today:

* Walking around the show floor with a skateboard earns you some odd looks (and the occasional angry glare)

* It's hard to be proud of a freshly bought Maple Bar when they pass out free donuts all over the damn building.

* Somehow the letters PA are short for the word Bitch. I think the logic follows the same path that gets you from Richard to Dick.

* It's really tough to take pictures with a camera that has no battery. Like 'Dante Must Die' tough. (Bonus: Don't leave the spare battery back in the Press Room to which you have no access to.)

Okay.... this is pretty lame. Honestly I didn't learn anything at the GDC today because I didn't attend today (unless you count walking up to the third floor press room and then immediately leaving to do my grunt work across the street).

Way, way cooler stuff tomorrow. Like my impressions from Molyneux's Gameplay in the 21st Century discussion. He's going to be using the Dimitri project as his example. ooooOOOooo!
