Formed in 2003, The New Gamer was established to provide a different critical perspective on videogames. We scrutinize the whole game, what it has to say, how the separate elements effect the player, and what each game brings to the burgeoning field of interactive entertainment. Movie trailers are, I think, a perfect example of what you're describing in the opening paragraphs. I often find condensing a a feature length film into a tiny montage of what the film is to be about to be a sometimes daunting task. When you find some artistry involved in the process, the effect can be almost more alluring than the film itself.
