Formed in 2003, The New Gamer was established to provide a different critical perspective on videogames. We scrutinize the whole game, what it has to say, how the separate elements effect the player, and what each game brings to the burgeoning field of interactive entertainment. Simply put, we like to write about games.

I like the cover. it's very, I dunno, stylized. It captures the public perception of the cold war (during said war), because honestly, it ain't no mistake the dominant color is red here.
it's also rendered quite realistically for a change. Oscilliscope stations, finned missles, headset with the big bulky ear pieces, from a present standpoint it all looks pleasently dated.
