To My Dreamcast, With Love and Fondest Regards

September 15, 2003 By Glenn Turner
How could I forget your birthday?

What's up honey? Eh? Did I forget anything last week? I don't think so. Let me see.. I called my sister, I paid my due bills, the Weekly Gamer Mix went up.. Before the Weekly Game Mix? Look at the calendar? The date?

Crap. Sept. 9th.

I'm sorry baby, oh and I had the best birthday present all lined up for you too. I was going to get you that copy of Project Justice we've always been talking about. Unitdaisy was even going to bake her special cake, just for you. But you know how last week was hell. I know that's no excuse but here, I bought you a card. Wait, no that's for the Gamecube. Don't run away honey, it was an honest mistake!

I know we've had some hard times as of late, with Soul Calibur 2 coming out and all. But I promise - she means nothing to me! The Weapons Master Mode, a joke - really! It has nothing on your goods. And I don't need that Wavebird! You have all the trigger action I need. Shinobi? That was just a fling, you know I long for the Smash Pack you effortlessly output. No, I don't have a copy of Jet Set Radio Future - the original is more than enough for me. What? No, I wasn't trash talking Unreal Tournment's four-player mode. I don't know who told you that, but that's an outright lie.

Don't worry sweetie - we'll make it through. We always do. And we've had some good times together haven't we? Like all those long nights with Power Stone and all the luxurious, hot maraca action when we brought Samba in? Aww, don't be like that - I will take you online soon - I'm saving it for a special occasion! Besides, do you seen any of the other consoles with a keyboard? And who has the most memory cards? You do - that's just how much I love you.

So come on, do you forgive me? Let's boogie the night away with some Space Channel 5 - you know no one hits my buttons like you do.

Love,

peccaui
