Scribbles & Rants: Recent Journal Entries

August 7, 2006 By Glenn Turner

Our journals have been a flurry of activity as of late, and we'd hate to see any readers miss out on this goodness. So, enjoy this brief summary encapsulating our recent journal output - I'm sure there's something there for everyone!

- Okami's 8-bit Revision - You won't believe what I found on Capcom Japan's Okami website.

- Drunksaling, Circa 2005 - A year-old gallery that we meant to publish last year, but never actually did. Great finds, good friends, what more can you ask for?

- Ken Williams of Sierra On-Line on Government & Games - An intriguing essay from Sierra On-Line founder Ken Williams on video game ratings & legislature, originally published in Sierra's InterAction Spring 1994 magazine. It's a long read, but well worth your time, and you'll be hard pressed to find it anywhere else online!

- Rockstar Pimps Table Tennis in Chicago - A look at a recent, non-Soft Serve, Table Tennis promotional event, also accompanied by some musings on how Rockstar can improve future Table Tennis pitches.

- You Got Candy in My Game Boy Advance - I bought this GBA filled with gummies and all I have to show for it are these pictures.

Want more? I'm glad you asked - there's plenty more over in our Journals section.

Just so you know, even though I don't comment on every entry, I do read them all and wholly appreciate the chance to read stuff video-game related, especially as i don't play them myself that much.

Actually, it's meant more as a summary for those who have syndicated our articles but not our journals. Especially now that we're publishing a journal entry a day (as opposed to once a week), even those who do routinely check our journals might miss something.

I don't want you guys to think this post was just fishing for comments (although I do appreciate comments) - it's moreso for the convenience of non-forum regulars and other readers.
