Top 5 Game-Inspired Music Videos - The ever-prolific folks at Gamelab pick their top five videogame-influenced pop videos. Nice selection, plus any article that mentions Xiu Xiu deserves attention, at least that's the way it works in my little world. UPDATE: And now they have their own RSS feed, which will make my newsreader very happy. Yay technology!

The (Comic) Adventures of Roger Wilco - While rifling through some childhood items over the holidays, I rediscovered the comic book adaptation of the classic Sierra adventure series Space Quest. The comics don't quite do justice to the game, but they're still nice for a laugh or two. And, thanks to SpaceQuest.net, you too can relive the series in sequential art form!

Rock Band’s Uncanny Valley - I was all set to draft up my own ramblings on how the Rock Band experience and its instruments verge on being eerily and unnervingly realistic, but then I saw Schlaghund already capably handled the topic. Uncanny indeed.

Nintendo (Power) Controller Mints - You might have seen this before, since they've been available in stores for a while now. I picked mine up on a whim at an Urban Outfitters, only to find out I grossly overpaid for them. $5, as opposed to the suggested retail price of $2.99. The tin itself is quite nice (and almost to scale), but why Nintendo Power mints? Why not simply Nintendo mints? And where's my 'NES Advantage' gumball machine and 'Power Pad' roll-ups?

LinkUp is a recurring collection of interesting, off-beat game-related articles from the around the internet! If you'd like to submit a link for consideration, please contact us!

Hey, we just set up an RSS feed, we just haven't designed the button for it yet! You can get it here:
